Character/Account Info

  • Q: How many characters can I have on each account and how are extension points (EP) shared among them?
  • A: You can have a maximum of 3 characters per account, and they all share the same EP pool.
  • Q: How do I gain extension points (EP)?
  • A: EP are accumulated (per account, not per character) at a rate of 1 per minute, as long as your account is active.
  • Q: Can I run multiple accounts?
  • A: Yes, you can. Because EP is accumulated per-account many people choose to make alt accounts, allowing each character to specialize.
  • Q: How do I train skills?
  • A: No skill books are required, just EP and NIC. Open your Agent Profile and go to Extensions. To learn a new skill, click on Install, or to increase an existing skill click on Upgrade.
  • Q: Can I reset my extensions?
  • A: For the first 30 days of play on your account you can downgrade your characters' extensions . Downgrading an extension means that both the money and the EP you have spent on the extension will be refunded. This process, however, has some limitations:
    • It’s not possible to downgrade below your initial extensions.
    • It’s not possible to downgrade an extension level which is a prerequisite for another extension that you have.
    • You can't downgrade an extension that has reached level 7, only below.
    • You can downgrade only 5 extension levels in 12 hours on your whole account. If you wait a while you will be able to downgrade again.
  • Q: Do I lose EP if I die?
  • A: Nope!

Player Interactions

  • Q: Can I shoot other players, or can other players shoot me?
  • A: On Alpha islands, PVP is only allowed if players have flagged themselves for PVP, otherwise you are safe; shooting at a flagged player will flag you, as well. Beta islands, on the other hand, are PVP zones where flagging is not required.
  • Q: Can I access another players field container?
  • A: Only if you know the 4-digit security code. Good luck guessing!
  • Q: How do I trade with another character?
  • A: In a Terminal, right click on the player and select Trade from the menu; each player can drag and drop items to trade, or enter NIC, and then click on Send Offer. If the trade is agreeable, each player than clicks Accept to complete the trade.
